Managing Multiple Wallets
Motion allows users to manage multiple wallets within the platform, providing flexibility for different trading strategies, risk management, and asset organization. Whether using separate wallets for different tokens or keeping funds divided for security reasons, Motion makes it easy to switch between them.
Adding and Switching Wallets
Open the Motion bot and navigate to the wallet management section.
Select the option to add a new wallet.
Choose whether to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Once multiple wallets are added, they will appear in the wallet selection menu.
To switch wallets, select the desired wallet from the list. The active wallet will be used for all trading activities until another wallet is selected.
Each wallet operates independently, meaning balances, transaction history, and trading settings will apply only to the currently selected wallet.
Importing an Existing Wallet
If a user already has a wallet, it can be imported into Motion using the private key. To import a wallet:
Open the wallet menu and select the import option.
Enter the private key when prompted.
Once imported, the wallet will be available in the selection menu for trading and withdrawals.
Motion does not store private keys in a way that allows access to them, so users should keep their keys secure outside of the platform.
Managing Wallet Security
To ensure security when using multiple wallets:
Always store private keys securely, as they are only shown once during wallet creation.
If switching between wallets frequently, double-check which wallet is currently selected before making trades or withdrawals.
Ensure that each wallet has enough MOVE to cover transaction fees, as a wallet with no balance may not be able to process transactions.
If a wallet is no longer needed, it can be disconnected from the platform. However, the private key must be stored securely in case access is needed later.
