Placing Trades with Limit Orders

Limit orders allow traders to buy or sell tokens at a specific price rather than executing immediately at market price. This feature helps automate trades and ensures that orders only execute when market conditions meet predefined criteria.

Accessing the Limit Order Menu

  1. Paste the contract address of the token you want to trade into the Motion bot.

  2. The buy/sell panel will appear with trading options.

  3. Select the β€œLimit Order” tab at the bottom of the panel to enter the limit order menu.

Setting a Buy Limit Order

  1. Click the "Buy MOVE" button and enter the amount you want to purchase.

  2. Choose how the buy order should be triggered:

    • Market Cap: Executes when the token reaches a specific market cap.

    • Price: Executes when the token price hits a predefined level.

    • Percentage Change: Executes if the price moves by a set percentage.

  3. If needed, configure Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP) settings to automate exits after the buy is executed.

  4. Set an expiration time for the limit order, with the default being 24 hours.

  5. Click "Create" to confirm the limit order. The bot will notify you once the order is executed.

Setting a Sell Limit Order

  1. Click the "Sell %" button to choose how much of your holdings to sell.

  2. Choose one of the following execution criteria:

    • Market Cap: Executes when the token reaches a specific market cap.

    • Price: Executes when the token reaches a set price.

    • Percentage Change: Executes if the price moves by a certain percentage.

  3. Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP) settings are integrated into sell limit orders and can be configured independently.

  4. Use the Trailing Stop Loss feature to automatically adjust the sell price as the token value rises, securing profits while allowing room for price growth.

  5. Click "Create" to finalize the order, and the bot will monitor the market to execute it when conditions are met.

Managing Active Limit Orders

  1. Open the portfolio or trade management section in the bot.

  2. Select a token to view active limit orders.

  3. Modify or cancel any open orders if market conditions change before execution.
