What to Do If the Bot is Slow?
If Motion is running slower than usual, it may be due to network congestion, rate limits, or settings that need adjustment. Identifying the cause can help improve performance and ensure trades are executed efficiently.
High Network Congestion
During periods of high trading activity, transactions may take longer to process due to RPC issues on the Movement Network.
Solution:
Wait for the RPC to get back up.
Telegram Rate Limiting
If actions in the bot take longer than usual or commands do not respond immediately, Telegram may be applying rate limits. This happens when too many requests are sent within a short time.
Solution:
Avoid spamming commands or making multiple requests rapidly.
Restart the bot by closing and reopening Telegram.
If rate limits persist, wait a few minutes before trying again.
Main Bot Instance is Overloaded
If many users are trading at the same time, the main Motion bot may be experiencing high activity, leading to slower response times.
Solution:
Switch to one of Motion’s backup bot instances, which function the same way but may have lower traffic.
Check the community channels for updates if performance issues are widespread.
Slow or Unstable Internet Connection
A weak or unstable internet connection can cause delays when interacting with the bot.
Solution:
Ensure you have a stable internet connection before executing trades.
If using mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi or vice versa.
Restart your device or Telegram app to refresh the connection.
Device Performance Issues
If the bot is running slowly only on a specific device, it may be due to background processes using too many system resources.
Solution:
Close unnecessary apps running in the background.
Restart your device to free up memory and improve performance.
Try using Motion on a different device to see if the issue persists.
