Protecting Your Wallet & Private Keys
Keeping your wallet and private keys secure is essential to protecting your funds while trading on Motion. Since blockchain transactions are irreversible, any compromise of your wallet can result in permanent loss of assets.
Storing Your Private Key Safely
When creating a new wallet through Motion, the private key is shown only once. If lost, it cannot be recovered, and Motion does not have access to retrieve it.
To keep your private key secure:
Store it in a safe location, such as an offline password manager or a hardware device.
Never share your private key with anyone, including individuals claiming to be support staff.
Avoid saving your private key in cloud storage or unsecured digital notes.
Write it down on paper and keep it in a safe place as a backup.
Preventing Unauthorized Access
To ensure your wallet remains secure, take the following precautions:
Enable two-step verification in Telegram to protect your account from unauthorized access.
Use a strong, unique password for any accounts linked to your trading activity.
Avoid logging into Telegram from untrusted devices or public computers.
Regularly review your connected wallets and transactions to ensure no unauthorized activity has taken place.
Importing Wallets Securely
If you import an existing wallet into Motion, be sure to:
Only paste private keys in the secure import section of the bot.
Avoid sharing or storing private keys in messages or online platforms.
If a private key has ever been exposed, transfer assets to a new secure wallet immediately.
Recognizing Scams and Phishing Attempts
Malicious actors may try to trick users into revealing their private keys or accessing fraudulent versions of the Motion bot.
To avoid scams:
Only use the official Motion bot link. Avoid clicking on links sent by unknown sources.
If someone claims to be support staff and asks for your private key, it is a scam.
Be cautious of fake bots or phishing websites that look similar to Motion.
